Get To Know Rex
Meet Rex! We know we’re not meant to have favourites… but this boy is a gentle giant with a big heart. Rex can be shy at first, but he loves to be close to his humans. Rex came into our care from Geraldton. His previous family welcomed a newborn and felt they couldn’t provide the right care for Rex.
Rex is after a quiet home where he can be with his people and gain confidence next to them. He could fit in with a family with teens, as long as they are respectful of his space. Rex has good leash skills and walking with him is a pleasure. He loves quiet sniffy walks where he can take in the information around him. Rex used to live with another dog, so it’s possible this time he could share a home with another suitable canine companion, too. And if he went with another dog, then he could live with full time workers.
Rex is for people who are experienced handlers and had bigger breeds before.
He is a sensitive boy, but in the right environment he will become a loving and loyal companion. Come to Refuge and meet him, we promise he will steal your heart.

Our website updates the availability of our dogs in real time. There is a chance that while you are travelling to the Home to meet a particular dog, he or she may be involved in the adoption process or already adopted. You can phone ahead to enquire about a dog you are interested in between the hours of 11am and 4pm but we cannot place dogs on hold over the phone. Please review our Adoption Process or complete an Adoption Questionnaire prior to your visit.
