Austin is a lovely older gentleman who still has plenty of life in him and enjoys getting out for his daily walks. He loves exploring the world through his nose and will happily wander along taking in all the interesting smells along the way.
Austin can be a little shy when meeting new people and may take a day or two to feel comfortable, but once he settles in he shows his sweet and gentle personality. Giving him time to approach people at his own pace will help him feel safe and build trust.
He may enjoy the company of another calm, well-matched dog, but would also likely be happy as the only dog in the home.
Austin would suit a calm household with patient adopters who understand that some dogs just need a little time to warm up. He may be suitable for homes with dog-savvy children aged 10+ who can interact respectfully and avoid overhandling.
This charming senior boy still enjoys his walks, companionship, and a relaxed home where he can settle in and enjoy the good life. 🐾

There is a chance that while you are travelling to the Home to meet a particular dog, he or she may be involved in the adoption process or already adopted.
