Turtle is a ridiculously affectionate boy who believes he’s a lap dog in a much bigger body. Though unsure at first, once he bonds with you, he’ll be your loyal little shadow-following you from room to room, smooshing into your side, and offering endless kisses and cuddles. If he could crawl inside your skin just to be closer, he absolutely would!
Turtle has blossomed in foster care and is ready for a home with a calm, confident doggy friend by his side. He thrives in quiet environments and needs experienced humans who’ll give him time to settle and feel safe. He’s clever, food-motivated, and learning all about the joys of home life. Turtle has been working on his confidence around strangers and needs a family who will continue to support him in this area.
If you’re after a silly, sensitive, and unbelievably snuggly companion who’ll adore you with his whole heart, Turtle is your guy.

Our website updates the availability of our dogs in real time. There is a chance that while you are travelling to the Home to meet a particular dog, he or she may be involved in the adoption process or already adopted. You can phone ahead to enquire about a dog you are interested in between the hours of 11am and 4pm but we cannot place dogs on hold over the phone. Please review our Adoption Process or complete an Adoption Questionnaire prior to your visit.
