Get To Know Chief

Meet Chief – a sensitive, sweet boy who’s learning that the world isn’t such a scary place after all. Chief can be nervous at first, especially with new sounds or sudden movements, but with a little patience and kindness, his affectionate and playful nature shines through.

He would love a quiet, calm home with a friendly, confident doggy sister to help show him the ropes and keep him company. Chief may take a little time to settle, but once he feels safe, he’s a loving, goofy companion who adores his people.

He’s best suited to a home with dog-savvy teens (16+) who can respect his space and go slow with him while he builds confidence. With patience, time, and positive training, Chief will blossom into a loyal, affectionate best friend.

Our website updates the availability of our dogs in real time. There is a chance that while you are travelling to the Home to meet a particular dog, he or she may be involved in the adoption process or already adopted. You can phone ahead to enquire about a dog you are interested in between the hours of 11am and 4pm but we cannot place dogs on hold over the phone. Please review our Adoption Process or complete an Adoption Questionnaire prior to your visit.
