Cookie can be a little nervous at first, especially with new sounds or sudden movements, but with patience and kindness, his loving and playful personality really shines. He would thrive in a quiet, calm home with a friendly, confident doggy sibling to help show him the ropes and keep him company.
Cookie may need a little time to settle into his new home, but once he feels safe, he becomes a loyal, goofy companion who adores his people and loves being part of the family.
He would be best suited to a home with dog-savvy teens (16+) who understand how to give him space and let him build confidence at his own pace. With time, positive training, and lots of love, Cookie will grow into an incredibly affectionate, devoted family member.

Our website updates the availability of our dogs in real time. There is a chance that while you are travelling to the Home to meet a particular dog, he or she may be involved in the adoption process or already adopted. You can phone ahead to enquire about a dog you are interested in between the hours of 11am and 4pm but we cannot place dogs on hold over the phone. Please review our Adoption Process or complete an Adoption Questionnaire prior to your visit.
