Kohatu is a friendly, social and affectionate adolescent pup who loves people, enjoys playtime, and is always ready for an adventure (especially a beach trip!). He has been fantastic with other dogs at the refuge, showing playful and tolerant manners, and would love a home where he can continue building confidence and life skills.
As a 9-month-old large breed puppy, Kohatu is still learning the ropes and will need a family who is committed to ongoing positive training, especially with puppy behaviours, lead manners and recall. In return, you’ll get an incredibly loving best mate who will make your family very happy.

Our website updates the availability of our dogs in real time. There is a chance that while you are travelling to the Home to meet a particular dog, he or she may be involved in the adoption process or already adopted. You can phone ahead to enquire about a dog you are interested in between the hours of 11am and 4pm but we cannot place dogs on hold over the phone. Please review our Adoption Process or complete an Adoption Questionnaire prior to your visit.
