Dewey is a clever, active boy who enjoys exploring the world around him and taking in his environment at his own pace. While he can initially present as unsure or over-aroused in new situations, he has shown good ability to settle and make appropriate choices once given time, space, and calm guidance.
He enjoys food, enrichment, and opportunities for exploration, and has shown playful social behaviours with other dogs once comfortable. Dewey is looking for experienced adopters who understand sensitive dogs and are committed to helping him continue building confidence through positive experiences and ongoing training.
With patience, understanding, and appropriate guidance, Dewey has the potential to become a very rewarding companion in the right home.

Our website updates the availability of our dogs in real time. There is a chance that while you are travelling to the Home to meet a particular dog, he or she may be involved in the adoption process or already adopted. You can phone ahead to enquire about a dog you are interested in between the hours of 11am and 4pm but we cannot place dogs on hold over the phone.
